Essential Edinburgh has agreed a five-year support partnership with Street Assist Edinburgh, a charity run by skilled volunteers which offers all kind of help and support to people out and about enjoying the nightlife offered by the Capital’s vibrant city centre.
Street Assist provide a non-judgemental welfare and first aid service to help people who may have become vulnerable during the busy night-time economy hours. The charity operates every Friday and Saturday from 10pm till 4am the following day.
A safe environment is key to a vibrant and diverse night-time economy and essential to both the success of the city centre and the enjoyment of Edinburgh for our residents and visitors.
