As you may be aware Scotland has announced its intention to implement a deposit return scheme for drinks containers. Zero Waste Scotland have been tasked by the Scottish Government to build on the work they have already undertaken relating to research and stakeholder consultation, to design a scheme that will be suitable and workable for Scotland. As part of this work they are hosting a series of workshops with businesses who may have an interest in deposit return schemes to inform the design work.
Zero Waste Scotland would like to invite you to a workshop to discuss the design of a deposit return system for Scotland on Thursday the 22th of March, at Essential Edinburgh, 139 George Street Edinburgh, the workshop will take place from 10:30 lasting approximately 3 hours.
The aim of the workshop is to discuss the design of a deposit return scheme in Scotland and for attendees to contribute to their thoughts to help inform the design work, specifically in relation to city centre locations. The agenda will cover how deposit return schemes operate and will focus on considerations for the attendees business.
Ideally Zero Waste Scotland would like representation from 12 businesses that are a cross section from retail, office and hospitality sectors.
