There are many vantage points to view the beauty of the Essential Edinburgh area and further a field, here are some of our favourites:
Calton Hill is a perfect spot to look along the length of Princes Street, survey the Waverley Valley and also to look out across the Firth of Forth to Fife
Climb the 287 steps to the top of the Scott Monument, towering 61.1 meters (200 feet 6”) above Princes Street, stop to catch your breath and then lose it again when you see the incredible views!
Get a new perspective of St Andrew Square Garden from Harvey Nichols Forth Floor Restaurant, and if the weather permits the terrace is a lovely spot to view from. The Brasserie also has great views to the north out over the Forth to Fife.
John Lewis has lovely views to Fife from the restaurant and the Baby room – makes a lovely change to have something nice to look at whilst feeding a baby!
Chaophraya has amazing views of Edinburgh Castle and along North Castle Street to Fife – night time is equally beautiful when the Castle is lit up.
No viewing experience can be complete without a trip to Edinburgh Castle – the views speak for themselves!
