ST ANDREW SQUARE – SCREEN CONTENT SPECIFICATIONS

Still screen graphics will be built into PowerPoint and played through laptop onto the giant screen. All still graphics supplied should be in JPEG format.

The screen aspect ratio is 16:9 Widescreen Format (Pixel Dimension 1024×576)

STILL ADVERTS

  • The screen aspect ratio is 16:9 (1024×576)
  • Advert JPEGS should be created at 72dpi (or higher)
  • All adverts will then be built into a PowerPoint as 16:9 stills.
  • A 10% margin or television safe areas should be used to ensure no information is cropped from the side of the screen.
  • Text should be 24pt minimum. Anything lower will not be seen on screen.
  • Keep everything bold. Avoid using too much text.
  • Avoid the use of plain white backgrounds. This uses every LED on the screen and can cause flickering under certain conditions. If a white background is required consider using off-white or bringing the contrast down by 10%.
  • Different shades of the same colour or similar colours will not be distinguishable on screen. For example blue and white and yellow and black are OK but red and orange will appear very similar.
  • As a general rule adverts created for print mediums are not acceptable as they contain small details and text that would not be distinguishable on screen.
