We promote the area as a place to come to work, to shop, to eat, to drink and to explore.
We use a range of marketing tools and work with partners across the city to promote the area, as well as organising events in the BID to bring more people to the area.

Throughout the year Essential Edinburgh works closely with the city’s marketing body Marketing Edinburgh, to ensure that advertising is targeted and BID specific, where appropriate.

The Essential Edinburgh BID actively promotes the area through the media and seeks to balance potential negative coverage.
We also work closely with other agencies across the city to positively promote the area as well as working directly with individual businesses to secure excellent news coverage.
