Under the Stars 2011
‘UNDER THE STARS’ Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th June 2011
Essential Edinburgh presents an exciting free cinema experience for all the family, in collaboration with the Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) with a specially created outdoor cinema coming to St Andrew Square Garden from Thursday 16 until Sunday 19 June 2011.
‘Under the Stars’ will encourage visitors to the city centre to experience some classic films on a giant screen in the picturesque setting of St Andrew Square, with a packed programme of films planned over the four days including a mix of Hollywood blockbusters and children’s cinema.
The free event has been organised by Essential Edinburgh in collaboration with the EIFF, to help celebrate the beginning of the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and will see a repeat of the crowd-pleasing outdoor cinematic experiences that have taken place in the capital since 2005.
